On Tuesday October 14 2008, the Esop Centre and Institute held a black tie dinner and awards ceremony at the Oriental Club, London, to celebrate achievement in the employee share ownership world. The event was well attended, with around 70 guests. Shadow Treasury minister, David Gauke MP was the guest of honour. He gave a keynote speech in which he applauded, amongst other things, the Centre's efforts to refresh Sharesave schemes. | For the first time, the Institute named a student as "Esop Student of the year". Kristopher Poulton emerged as a clear winner, with exceptional performance in the Esop Institute diploma. He was awarded a Mont Blanc pen, together with vouchers for an inscription of his choice, generously donated by Mike Kemsley of Cyril Sweett plc. |
